1995 Ford F150 Flare Side

  • Stylish Flare Side truck bed design
  • Great road-hugging stance
  • Low mileage example
  • Plenty of invoices providing detailed history

The Appeal

UK road users don’t often experience the sight of a large, V8-powered American pickup truck. With their imposing size and uncommon shape, these behemoths of the motoring world claim plenty of attention.

In such great condition, this particular Ford F150 complete with the stylish Flare Side bed shape represents the best of the American pickup truck.

One of the best-looking iterations of the F150 coupled with an excellent spec of black on black with white pinstripes, this car will make its driver feel special out on the open road.

History and Paperwork

  • Imported to the UK in 2000
  • With current owner since 2015
  • Relatively low mileage for its age
  • Extensive list of invoices, well cared for model
  • MoT until April 2023

The Interior

  • An ode to the colour grey
  • Wheel-mounted gear selector with overdrive
  • Plenty of electric gadgets
  • Spacious rear bench
  • Has visibly been used, but no excessive damage

Jump in this Ford F150 and you’ll be immersed in the colour grey. The leather seats, the plastic dashboard and even the carpets are adorned in the neutral colour. Just a few pieces of black trim break up this vast ocean of greyness.

Forget the thousands of buttons that cover steering wheels on modern cars, this pickup truck’s wheel is a simple yet loveable design that transports you back to a time when you didn’t need to constantly change settings on the fly. A simple gear selector stalk controlling the automatic gearbox and indicator switch sit behind it while the analogue instrument cluster is as clear as day.

Despite the simplicity of the interior’s design, the F150 comes with several gadgets such as electronic windows, partially electronically adjustable seats and cruise control. The centre of the dashboard hosts an aftermarket Kenwood stereo system.

In the rear of the cabin lies a large bench covered in the same grey leather as the front row of seats.

The Exterior

  • Flare Side wheel arch styling
  • Brilliant black on black specification
  • Subtle yet effective chrome accents and white pinstripe
  • Beautiful low stance
  • All in great condition

The main characteristic of this car’s exterior has to be the amazing Flare Side styling, an option making its return on ninth generation Ford F-Series trucks. Despite making the slightly narrower than on the more traditional flat-sided trucks, the Flare Side design adds a sense of style to an otherwise function-over-form corner of the motoring industry.

The curvaceous rear end is complemented by the brilliantly cared for black paint showing off all the vehicles’ shapes. The exterior spec is topped off by a white pinstripe along the bottom of the body and chrome bumpers which look great without stealing all the attention.

As is typically the case with imported American cars, this F150 sits on GT Radial tyres which, sat tightly within the wheel arches, give the model a great low-slung stance.

The Mechanics

  • 5.8-litre V8
  • Automatic gearbox with overdrive
  • Well looked after example

In true American style, a massive 5.8-litre V8 engine sits under the bonnet. Dubbed the Windsor engine, Ford’s small block motor sends its power to an automatic gearbox. With around 200hp and a less than sporty transmission, this model isn’t going to be winning many races. Though it should provide plenty of torque to do its job; heavy lifting.

This model was designed as to be a builder’s workhorse and having been imported to the UK early in its life, this is something it hasn’t had the chance to do. Along with plenty of invoices proving how much work has gone into this car, it should be in great condition for many years to come.

This Ford F150 is a stylish example of an otherwise rugged market. It presents itself beautifully with its curvaceous body covered up by excellent deep black paint. Furthermore, having been clearly well looked after during its 22 years in the United Kingdom, this could be one of the best examples easily available on British soil.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

C&C prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3-minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £10,000 £100.00
£10,000 to £50,000 £250.00
£50,000 to £100,000 £500.00
£100,000+ £1000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.
You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

What are Commission bids?

A commission bid means you’re able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
