The Appeal

The R170 was a clever response to the MX5. Shrinking the qualities of the SL into a smaller package - hence the ‘SLK’ name - created a car that was as much sports car as compact GT. Key to that appeal is the clever folding hard top that makes this car perfect, whatever the weather.

Apart from the AMG cars, the pick up the range is arguably this model, the M112-equipped, 3.2L V6 SLK320 with 210bhp on tap. This one spent most of its life on the salt-free roads of Japan before arriving in Europe. Finished in fetching white over charcoal, it is a very good condition car that reflects the low mileage of just 77,900kms.

The car has been similarly well maintained, primarily by Mercedes-Benz specialists. There have been many recent new parts, including a battery. This work has totalled over £2,500 and was undertaken by marque specialists. A great example of a very capable car.
