The Appeal
A solid, stylish roadster with respectable performance and revered build quality. Could it be anything other than a Mercedes?
The all new Mercedes R170 SLK was a continuation of Mercedes on top form, seeing yet more of the same quality found in the R107 and W124 series of cars that had come prior, but what made the SLK stand out was the all new metal folding roof system. It was a bold idea, but one that paid dividends and ushered in a new era of open top motoring.
Seen as the pinnacle and perfect middle ground within the model lineup, the SLK 320 certainly seems to be the popular choice amongst buyers at present with its impressive blend performance and practicality and at present, stands as a great value modern classic Mercedes. The example we have here however, turns that collectible appeal up a notch with some factory Brabus exclusivity.
Nicely presented in a rare factory specification, this lower mileage 2001 model is a great presentation of the lesser seen Brabus influenced SLK and as is surely enough to widen the eyes of even the most astute Mercedes enthusiast.
