A low mileage and low owner example of the first generation of CLS four door coupe
A fine exemplar of the powerful and luxurious CLS 500 5.0L V8 model
Backed by plenty of provenance providing paperwork
The Appeal
The Mercedes C219 model was based on the Vision CLS concept car that was exhibited at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car was based on E-Class underpinnings and essentially grafted a sloping coupe roofline onto a four-door saloon body. The car was produced between 2004 and 2010 and appealed to those that needed a four door, four seat luxury car but hankered after the stylish demeanour of a sports coupe.
This example is exceptional in terms of its two-owner history and very low original mileage. It’s the highly specified and technologically advanced CLS 500 version, too, complete with Airmatic DC air suspension system, the innovative 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission and electrohydraulic braking system. An ownership proposition which is as exciting as it is luxurious.
The CLS range introduced a stylish and premium alternative to enthusiastic drivers who were looking for something a bit different. Although a four-seater only, the CLS doesn’t loose out too much in terms of space over the E-Class on which it is based. It is appointed and equipped to appeal to those who demand the best in their cars. The V8 engined cars are both powerful and extremely refined. A great choice for those who like to follow a different and more individual path.
This example offers an unusually appealing history having just two owners from new, the first of these retaining the car for a full 18 years. The mileage is impressively low, too, for a car of this age. It presents in a popular colourway and looks great with its newly refurbished alloy wheels. It is a subtle and low-profile car making it the consummate Q-car with over 300bhp on tap from a rorty V8. A great opportunity to become the third lucky owner of this exceptional example.

About Max Bids
The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.
Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.
Anti-sniping
C&C prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.
Auctions are extended by 3-minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.
Auto-bidding increments
If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Automatically outbid immediately
When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours. You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.
Matching max bids
When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.
What are pre-bids?
A pre-bid means you’re able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.
Problem with your bid
Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
