The Appeal

This new generation of the classic Italian city car we all adore has taken the world by storm, garnering popularity and enthusiasm across the globe.

This particular Limited Edition model is based upon the Sport variant of the Fiat 500 and has a rather interesting origin story:
In keeping with the brand’s quirkiness, Ferrari decided that their clients deserved a truly unique courtesy car, while their Ferrari was “in the shop” so to speak.

As a fantastic symbol of collaboration between the two Italian brands, and a representation of Ferrari’s true ethos, just 200 of these exclusive Fiat 500s were ever made.

These quirky Fiats were endorsed by Maranello and entered circulation within the Ferrari dealer network.

Today, these Fiat 500 dealer edition vehicles are as scarce as ever, with just 200 ever produced and a mere 60 of that quantity being made for the RHD market.

If you’re in the market for a rare, fun hatchback from two of Italy’s most renowned manufacturers, that also has the potential to be a valuable piece of motoring history, this is certainly the car for you.

The History and Paperwork

  • Just 2 previous owners
  • Original Fiat booklets
  • 2 dealer stamps within the service booklet
  • V5C document
  • Original Inspection report
  • Previous MOT certificates
  • 2 Keys
  • MOT until October 2022
  • Includes a Fiat 500 car cover as pictured
This Fiat 500 now has just 2 previous owners and benefits from having spent 6 years in sunny Gibraltar shortly after being registered in the UK.

Over the years, the vehicle has been exceptionally reliable, requiring nothing other than regular servicing and the usual consumables.
Buyers will be pleased to know that this car comes with a collection of paperwork, which includes the original Fiat inspection report, along with previous MOT certificates.

The car also comes with the V5C document, original Fiat 500 handbooks, and service booklet, which has 2 stamps within.
Although thoroughly enjoyed and treasured throughout their possession, the current keeper has now decided it is time to pass this fantastic 500 to a new home, where it will hopefully receive the same level of care and enjoyment.

The Interior

  • Excellent condition
  • Nero leather sports seats
  • Leather steering wheel
  • Magneti Marelli Sat Nav
  • Rosso Corsa interior trim
  • Limited Edition kickplates
  • Electric sunroof
The interior of this feisty hatchback is in excellent condition and shows off its limited-edition goodies with pride.

Most notable perhaps, are the limited edition kick plates you’re greeted with from the moment you open the door. Next on the list are the fantastic Ferrari Rosso Corsa coloured trim pieces, adorned with the “116 of 200” limited edition plaque, in full view of the lucky passenger.
The stylish perks don’t stop there, extending further to the sleek Nero leather bucket seats, sporty leather steering wheel, sport button, removable Magneti Marelli Ferrari Sat Nav, and eye-catching floor mats.
The only noticeable flaws found inside the cabin include a small blemish on the dashboard and a faulty seat latch to fold the driver’s seat. The radio also requires the code to be re-inputted in should the new owner wish to keep the OEM equipment installed. The code is provided with the car, ready to enter in.
Overall, the interior is in fantastic condition, from the spotless headliner all the way to the floormats.

It’s also surprisingly spacious and instills quite a sense of excitement when you’re firmly planted in the sporty bucket seats.

The Exterior

  • Stunning Ferrari Rosso Corsa paintwork
  • Excellent condition
  • 16” limited edition alloy wheels
  • Red brake calipers
  • Ferrari badging
This quirky Fiat is in superb condition and wears its iconic Ferrari Rosso Corsa paint beautifully. As the photos reflect, the car’s exterior retains a fantastic level of gloss and has obviously been well preserved and cared for.

All 4 limited edition alloy wheels are also in spectacular condition, showing no visible signs of the wear and curbing you would perhaps expect to see with a car of this age.

All exterior trim pieces, details, and lights follow suit, retaining an excellent aesthetic with only the most minor signs of age, including slight fading on the Ferrari badges.
Overall, the car looks brilliant.

With no major signs of age or wear, the car has clearly been well taken care of over the years and will undoubtedly continue to turn heads for years to come.

The Mechanics

  • Drives brilliantly
  • Manual 6-speed gearbox
  • Sport mode
  • 1.4L 16v 100HP engine
  • Magneti Marelli exhaust
  • Will be serviced for the lucky new owner
At first glance, this Fiat 500 may trick you into lowering your guard and expecting a much less enthusiastic car, but don’t be fooled; this car is the business.

Based on the Sport edition Fiat 500, these peppy hatches are nimble and characterful enough to surprise you out on the road. Due to their power-to-weight ratio, these cars embody everything we love about the basic Ferrari principles and are an absolute hoot to drive.
This particular example fires up straight away and performs without fault. The car pulls well through the gears, handles as a hatchback should, and provides a rather subtle & tasteful note from the Magneti Marelli exhaust.
As the car’s near-flawless MOT history will suggest, the vehicle has been exceptionally dependable over the years and requires nothing mechanically to be enjoyed on the road.

The car will also receive a service prior to sale, ensuring the lucky new owner is all set to enjoy this fantastic Fiat 500.

Summary

This is a rare shining example of a Ferrari and Fiat collaboration worthy of anyone’s collection. The car has been well cared for, drives flawlessly, and requires nothing to be enjoyed by the new owner.

With so few of these cars in the world, and the sheer significance of this particular model taken into account, this ought to be at the very top of anyone’s list.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
