The Appeal
The ultimate blend of performance and luxury rolled into a one. The Jaguar XK was designed to take on its German counterparts and that it did with ease. Re-designed in 2007, the Jaguar XK utilised styling inspiration from the Aston Martin and Ford era and the result is a bodywork design that looks absolutely stunning 14 years after its release.

Jaguar have always been known for their great interior finishes and this example is no exception to that. Finished in high end materials and featuring, at the time, advanced technology, the interior of the XK is wonderful place to spend quality time.
The leather that surrounds the cabin is still looking fresh all these years on. Looking at the seats, we can see that they are still in fantastic condition with the leather still showing a high quality finish. The passenger seat mirrors the same with no signs of age or wearing.
The carpets, door cards and steering wheel are in fine condition with no signs of damage or wear to report. The XK also benefits from an integrated touch-screen head-unit that features an array of options such as sat-nav, audio, phone connectivity and vehicle information.
To our knowledge, all the buttons and functions inside the cabin are working as they should do.

The XK8 presents beautifully with it being finished in silver which is one of the more subtle colours that Jaguar offered. It’s a fantastic looking car and looks great from all angles. It retains all of its original paintwork and trim with the chrome accents still looking in fine order.
We did notice that there is a small mark on the near side front of the car just above the fog light. There is also a scuff on the edge of the passenger door mirror.
The alloy wheels are in excellent order with no signs of curb rash or corrosion to be found.

Benefitting from a lightweight chassis and powered by a 4.2 litre V8, the XK is capable of producing a substantial amount of performance. The engine sounds especially mean at full throttle and we can’t promise this is a sound you won’t become addicted to very quickly, because chances are you will.
The engine starts readily with the engine purring away beautifully upon idle. There is no oily smoke or noises that would suggest the engine is unfit for the road.
Looking at the service book, the car has been well maintained by dealers and independent garages throughout.
Summary
The Jaguar XK8 is a fast, well-mannered sports car with an outstanding pedigree.
Amazing to look at and is great value for money. Fine examples of these cars are starting to mature into desirable classics.
