- 1,090 miles from new
- High specification
- 365 horsepower
- Subject to Porsche 111 point check
For many, the 911 is the epitome of the sports car, and the 991.2 is highly revered amongst the modern iterations of the model.
Finished in Jet Black Metallic with contrasting Luxor Beige interior, this tastefully specced 911 Carrera is amongst the finest specimens one could find from the 991.2 era. With its numerous factory options totalling almost £18,000, this 2017 Porsche comes equipped with a wealth of extras including the Sports Chrono Package, 14-way electric Sports seats and PDK double-clutch transmission.
What’s more, this excellent example has been used very sparingly, having covered fewer than 1,100 miles from new.
The History and Paperwork
- One owner from new
- Run-in carefully
- Porsche 111 point check completed
- Driven in dry conditions only
Commensurate with this Porsche’s exceedingly low mileage, there is little to report regarding its history.
Purchased by the vendor in 2017, the Carrera has been run-in with the utmost care, being used exclusively on road and at sensible speeds.
Stored inside from new, the vendor informs us that the car has never been used in adverse weather conditions, and the condition of the bodywork reflects this.
The 911 also voluntarily underwent the rigorous Porsche 111 point service, which tests a car’s driving characteristics as well as its overall condition at the end of its warranty period. Of course, this example passed with flying colours. The vendor has confirmed that the vehicles first service is now due.
The vendor also remarks at how often this Carrera is complemented while out and about on sunny days.
- Numerous optional extras
- Luxor Beige seats and door trims
- Mahogany interior package
While performance is the 911’s party piece, the 991.2’s interior was highly regarded at the time, notably by the likes of EVO Magazine, who were particularly impressed with the “low-slung” driving position, “top-notch materials and impeccable build quality”.
This Carrera is a particularly fine place to be, with the beguiling Luxor Beige Sports seats which are electrically adjustable. When choosing the specification for this Porsche, the vendor evidently prioritised driving experience, optioning the GT-Sport steering wheel and analogue Sports Chrono pack, harking back to the 5-dial 911s of old.
The vendor also specified numerous luxuries including seat / steering wheel heating, BOSE sound system, privacy glass and mahogany trim. Therefore, this 911 has great potential as a capable grand tourer or even daily driver for the next owner.
As one would expect, the low miles covered by this Porsche mean that the interior presents very well, with the vendor reporting no blemishes to the fixtures and fittings within the cabin. The interior is so well presented, that even the drivers side left foot rest still has the factory fitted plastic film in place.
- Jet Black Metallic
- 20” Carrera Classic Wheels
- Bi-Xenon headlights / PDLS system
The Jet Black Metallic paintwork sported by this example was yet another factory extra, as were the 20” Carrera Classic alloys which, with their Pirelli P Zero tyres, really set off the exterior of this 911. It should be noted that for the photoshoot, the vehicle was highly polished, giving that glass-like appearance of the paintwork.
The 991’s sleek lines are highlighted by the paint scheme and it is clear to see that this example has been looked after very well. The underside is exceptionally clean, and the wheels smart, with plenty of tread remaining on the tyres.
The vendor reports that there is no damage to the exterior and that the 911 has been kept indoors since it was new.
- Rear-mounted flat-six producing 365 horsepower
- Doppelkupplung PDK gearbox
- Run-in carefully
Mechanically this 911 is very sound, having been driven carefully and sparingly by the current owner. The plastic delivery film is still present on the Porsche badging atop the engine compartment, confirming the fact that this car has covered very few miles, and those it has have been exclusively in fair conditions.
While Porsche did not suggest it was necessary to run-in the flat-six engine, the fastidious owner has ensured that the first (and only) thousand miles covered by this 911 were very gentle on the drivetrain.
As the Carrera model, this car was supplied with the most powerful iteration of the Carrera 3-litre engine, producing an impressive 365 horsepower, all driving the rear wheels. Coupled to Porsche’s legendary Doppelkupplung double-clutch gearbox, this 911 has ample performance and mechanical robustness, making this a car that could quite easily be used on a daily basis.
It has been exclusively used on the road and the vendor informs us that it drives “beautifully” - as indeed we would expect from the Porsche marque.
Not only is this 911 presented in such lovely condition with so few miles, the current owner ticked all the right boxes on the factory spec sheet.
With a powerful and characterful flat-six engine and a luxurious cabin, this 911 is amongst the most versatile 991.2s to leave the factory. This low mileage example is equally as suited to setting lap times as it is going shopping. If you've always fancied a 991.2, and let’s face it who hasn’t, then this is as close as you’ll find to a factory-fresh example without buying new.
