2020 Triumph Rocket 3 TFC

Highlights

  • Rare model, #79 of 750
  • Certificate from Triumph
  • One former keeper did not use it
  • Immaculate condition
  • Very low miles

The Appeal

Even in standard trim, the Triumph Rocket 3 is a wild, imposing and huge bike, it has the biggest engine of any production bike at 2.5 litres, the massive Avon Cobra rear tyre made exclusively for the model and are some of the largest motorbike tyres in the world, the TFC - or Triumph Factory Custom - took that to a new level.
Triumph loaded virtually every option as standard so it is packed with technology, making riding safer, easier and faster, and the bodywork has been enhanced with unique to the model carbon fibre parts and panels, making this a very special bike.

The History and Paperwork

  • One previous owner who didnt use it
  • Numbered certificate of authenticity
  • First service from Triumph dealer
This Rocket has been very well kept and has not had a great deal of use. The first owner was a pilot, ordering it in early 2020 but when the lockdowns meant many airline staff were made redundant he had to decline it and the current owner was able to be one of the lucky few to own a TFC.
As a car and bike collector, each vehicle is driven or ridden in turn, so used but sparingly and as such this has only clocked up 3759 miles and still looks brand new.
It has had its first service but beyond that the only addition expense has been a new key after one was lost.
Although the owner has an interesting collection, he like to use his vehicles and a recent trip has changed the type of bike he wants, so this is now being offered for sale

The Interior

  • Seats like new
  • handlebars have no wear
  • Clear instruments
  • Build number plaque
Having been ridden only a few miles and kept garaged, the rider facing parts of the Rocket have received little to no wear, the seats are like new as they have no marks, splits or squashing of the padding, the full colour TFT digital dashboard functions perfectly, the screens are bright and have no scratches.
The handle bars and controls again look like delivery mileage items, there is no wear to the rubber and the white labelling is all bright and crisp. In the centre of the bars is a plaque showing this to be TFC number 79 of 350, it too has perfect paint.

The Exterior

  • Flawless paint
  • Carbon fibre details
  • Excellent tyres
Around the body of the Triumph you will struggle to find any defects in the paint. It has a mix of dark metallic grey, satin and gloss black and lots of carbon fibre. A band of carbon fibre replaces the brushed metal down the centre of the tank, and adds detail to the exhaust manifold, engine cover and other places around the frame, all of it is glossy and in perfect condition.
The wide tyres are original and have very little wear, they have deep tread and the cobra stamp and embossed pattern is still like new, and the Brembo brakes look very clean and unworn and all the visible flexible brake lines look to be in great shape.
At the front it has LED headlamps and at the back a tail piece is included, but not currently installed on the bike.

The Mechanics

  • Low miles
  • First service by Triumph dealer
  • Runs perfectly
The bike has covered well under 4000 miles and in that time has undergone its first inspection and service from Triumph Ashford, using all genuine Triumph parts, and the owner tells us everything functions as new.
There are no leaks of oil or coolant from any parts of the bike, and the brakes look to have plenty of life left in the disk and pads.
Under the skin the TFC is loaded with technology, including optimised cornering ABS and traction control, four riding modes, Triumph Shift Assist, all-LED lighting, cruise control and hill-hold.
With keyless start - it has a new key from Laguna Triumph in Ashford after the original was lost it fires up on the button and idles as it should. The owner tells us it runs extremely well and has blistering performance and power delivery unlike anything else.

Summary

A very rare and expensive bike costing £27,000 when new less than 2 years ago, built in very limited numbers, and currently with very low miles, this is a hugely collectible bike, ideal for someone wanting to own a perfect example whether to have an ‘as new’ model to ride or to put into a collection, you would be lucky to find a better TFC anywhere.

About Max Bids

The max bid process allows you to bid without any hassle.

Enter your maximum bid and we will then bid on your behalf to ensure you're the highest bidder - just enough to keep you in the lead and only up until your maximum.

Anti-sniping

Car & Classic prevent auction snipers from bidding in the last seconds to win an auction.

Auctions are extended by 3 minutes if anyone bids within the last 2 minutes to allow other bidders to react and counter-bid.

Auto-bidding increments

  • If your maximum bid is equal to or below the reserve price, your maximum bid will be applied in full if you are the highest bidder.
  • If you are the highest bidder and place a maximum bid above the reserve, we will automatically put in the reserve as your first bid.
    • Once the reserve has been met, Car & Classic will make sure you are the highest bidder using only the bidding increments stated below.
    • We will keep you in the lead up until your maximum bid OR the increment closest to your maximum bid, providing your maximum bid is enough to cover the increment value.

Bid Amount Increment
£0 to £9,999 £100.00
£10,000 to £49,999 £250.00
£50,000 to £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Automatically outbid immediately

When you place a max bid and are outbid immediately that means that another bidder has placed a max bid limit which is higher than yours.

You can bid again and we will use our automatic bid system to try and get you as the highest bidder.

Matching max bids

When there are two max bids of the same value, the one placed first remains the lead bidder.

Pre-authorisation

We may hold a pre-authorisation charge on your card until the end of the auction when the hold will be cancelled. If you win, we'll take a security deposit which counts towards the payment for the vehicle and isn't any extra cost to you.

What are pre-bids?

A pre-bid means you're able to place a bid before the official start of the auction.
You will be notified whether or not you are the highest bidder when the auction starts.

Problem with your bid

Bids are contractually binding. To help protect you, we have some rules in place if we think it's been mistyped. Please check and amend what you have entered.
