Description
First registered on 1st June 1980 this is one of the last MGB's to be produced in Abingdon before the factory closed in October 1980.
It is finished in its original colour of Leyland white with Black Leather Sports Seats, Black Mohair Soft top, Black carpets, rebuilt 1798cc Engine, 4 Speed Manual Gearbox with Overdrive on 3rd & 4th Gears, Kenlowe Electric Cooling Fan, Stereo Radio with electric aerial and Mini-Lite style Alloy Wheels.
The car was restored between 1997 and 2000 and works included a photographed body restoration with many new panels, a reconditioned Engine, new Suspension, Brakes, Wiring Looms a full repaint of the car and lots more.
The mileage at the time of the rebuild was 76, 000 and the car has now covered a genuine 89, 231 miles and only 13, 000 miles since the restoration and Engine rebuild.
The car comes with an excellent and huge service history with a binder full of invoices and photographs + ownership history. We sold the car to the well known Sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor in January 2015, but he has hardly had the time to use the car since he bought it and it has spent the last 2 years in storage in his garage, so he has reluctantly now decided to sell it.
We are just in the process of preparing the car for sale and it has just had a new MOT and pre-sales service. Upon sale it will come with our own 6 month mechanical warranty which can be upgraded and extended at extra cost if required.
The car is in exceptional condition as you can see from the photographs and It really is beautiful to drive.
