Jaguar Mk II 3. 8 Litre, year 1967. Colour pale green metallic combined with a suede green leather interior and matching carpet. Chassis number 22463X BW, engine number LE4026-X, body number S029978 – matching engine number (factory original). This magnificent Jaguar Mk II was sold new to the United States. The car was factory original fitted with the most powerful 3. 8 Litre engine, a seldom seen original POWER sliding sunroof and tinted windows! In the year 2010 the automobile was imported to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, the car was dismantled and optically restored (the mechanicals were in very good condition – in 2010 cleaned and serviced only). The body was restored from the bare metal and the car was given a perfect 2K paint system. The car was fitted with slimmer ‘coombs spats’ around the rear wheels, the original large ‘spats’ are also present and painted in the correct colour. The interior was professionally upholstered with high quality leather, the roof lining renewed, and the wood panels were restored to perfection. The wiring loom and the electrics were renewed and upgraded. A photo report of the restoration is present as are photos of the car as it was when it came from the USA. In the Netherlands, the car was perfectly serviced and maintained by a Jaguar specialist over the years. In 2018 / 2019, the six-cylinder engine was fully overhauled, and the original automatic (3-speed) gearbox was exchanged for a Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox. Photos of the engine overhaul are present as are service and overhaul invoices. This magnificent Jaguar Mk II 3. 8 Litre is in excellent to superb condition. The car is fitted with a Stainless-Steel exhaust system and 15-inch chrome wire wheels, shod with Vredestein Sprint classic tyres.
