Offered for sale is a very solid, unmolested MGB with a desirable overdrive gearbox. With one respray over its original Inca Yellow, this is a very presentable example of a late rubber bumper MGB.
The body of this car is as rust free as an MGB can be, with all original panels and no signs of welding. The yellow paint has a very good finish, although it has visible touch ups of scratches and stonechips. Most of the imperfections are pictured in detail.
The interior is in good condition, with nice carpets and undamaged upholstery. Dashboard top repair panel installed. Soft top in good condition. Tonneau cover included. The trunk area is very presentable as well. Jack and wheel wrench still in the factory stowage bag.
Mechanically, the MG is in healthy and unmolested condition. 100. 495 mls on the odometer (this is a late 5-digit odometer, unlike the earlier 4-digit ones). Clean engine bay, aftermarket high-capacity aluminium radiator, with an additional electric fan. It looks like the cylinder head has been rebuilt. Everything is perfectly clean under the rocker cover, with markings still visible. The engine still has the US spec smog equipment installed, in well-serviced condition. It is up to the next owner to leave this as is, or switch over to a more powerful setup with twin S. U.'s or a Weber carburetor. Recent service work completed (engine oil, spark plugs, air filter, coolant hoses, new electronic ignition distributor and ignition coil). Overdrive gearbox with no substantial leaks, shifts smoothly and quietly. Brakes, clutch and steering in good condition. New exhaust system. Almost new tyres.
