Launched in 1987 the Brat was an overnight success for Subaru known in the UK as the ‘284’. It was the success of the BRAT which paved the way for the brand in rural areas offering a purposeful, well thought out alternative in an established marketplace. These little trucks are capable of some serious off roading due to the punchy revised 1. 8 engine and Dual range transfer case.
This delightfully original UK supplied facelifted example presented with the period decals underwent a mechanical recommission a couple of years ago. Having covered a total of only 67, 000 miles under two former keepers the originality is evident from the wheels, engine bay through to the interior having original seats and radio. Complete with a full toolrool, original keys, book pack and all booklets the Brat has just passed the MOT and is ready to go!
