motodrome offer this charming 1970 example of the well-loved Morris Traveller, finished in Almond Green with green interior
This one was restored by the late Charles Ware in 2003/ 04 and then supplied to the elderly gentleman from whom we’ve recently purchased it. 20 years on, the restoration is holding up extremely well, helped by the Traveller always being garaged, and only having covered around 2000 miles in that time.
It’s in standard factory specification with the exception of modern inertia reel seat belts front and rear, front disc brakes with servo, unleaded head, alternator conversion, reversing light and rear fog lamp, radio/ cassette in the glovebox, and period chrome visors on the headlamps.
Odometer reading 99000 miles, and comes with history since the Charles Ware restoration, including service bills and old MOT’s
Whilst legally it no longer requires an MOT, I’m pleased to report it has MOT to October 2024.
It’s both RFL and ULEZ exempt.
Travellers make excellent practical classics – they’re simple, so easy to drive, and very versatile, and this one certainly turns heads, and drives superbly too.
