This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500SL is probably one of the very best available. It was imported to Ireland from Japan this year, has only 73, 000kms / 46, 000 miles, has very high specification and is in one of the very best colour combinations. A full service has just been completed and a new NCT issued. This is as good as they get.
The exterior paintwork has a perfect deep shine all round, with no ugly scratches or dents and the bumpers are undamaged. The alloy wheels are as they left the factory and have not needed refurbishment. The soft top is original and absolutely perfect. As a precaution all the hydraulic rams for the folding mechanism have been replaced as this is a common fault.
The interior is a fabulous place to be, the seats are unmarked and all trim and switches are factory fresh. Additional extras include heated seats, cruise control, air conditioning and cruise control.
The 5 litre V8 engine purrs to life, idles correctly and delivers an almost endless surge of power, swapping gears effortlessly on the way. The engine bay is as clean as the interior.
