For sale is my 1976 Fiat 126
This is an early Italian built aircooled car, which was built in Italy for the UK market. Production was moved to Poland in 1977, therefore making the early Italian cars more desirable and sought after.
This car also left the factory with a sunroof (as seen on most classic Fiat 500's) and makes this car even more rarer. I am only aware of 3 UK spec Italian sunroof models in existence (and I own two of them)
Please do not confuse this early Italian sunroof model with the later 70's Deville models. The deville was built in Poland and came with plastic bumpers.
This is truly a rare car, but please note IT IS A PROJECT.
I bought it to put back on the road, but now need my garage space back to finish my other 126 project.
The car does NOT have an engine or gearbox. They are cheap and easy to find through the 126 club or on eBay.
This car has also been fitted with later hubs and wheels, at some point so purists may want to source a set of early wheels. The car has a few very small things missing also. They are cheap and easy to find.
The car needs headlights, seatbelts, side indicators, washer jets, window winders.
The car comes complete with all of it's carpet, seats and interior otherwise.
The car has been welded by a previous owner, and does need some small further welding to the offside sill. Otherwise it is a pretty solid car for it's age.
The fiat 126 is getting a rare car, and this model is even rarer. Don't miss this opportunity to get a great project at a great price.
