The Volvo 850 T5-R is a car that embodies much of the Swedish brand's remarkable qualities. Rock solid build quality, yes, but it's hardly a car you expect to be sporty and exciting. The 850 T5-R is to outsiders your typical station wagon - but anybody will tell you that the 2.3-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine is a fierce one, capable of 237bhp.
Internally, the car was loaded with comforts, electrically adjustable leather and Alcantara seats, designed in collaboration with Porsche, electric windows all-round, electric mirrors, climate control - all of the 90s requirements of the day were ticked, leaving a deceptively luxurious luxurious space for driver and passengers alike.
