Descrizione
Fine older restoration of this 1901 Locomobile Steam Car. Comes with entry for 2019 London to Brighton Run. Bodywork is properly coach painted with super coach-lines. Rear axle has ex-motorbike wheels with drum brakes which hugely improve original transmission brake. Comes with a pair of period oil lamps.
New Don Bourdon boiler fitted 2017, and new stainless steel burner fitted 2018. Engine just reassembled after nut and bolt rebuild. For further information see this YouTube clip: - details above.
Will run on ordinary pump petrol, but currently uses Hexane (Ronson lighter fuel, for those that can remember!). Has similar calorific value to petrol, but burns with a soot-free blue flame. Included with the car is a 25-litre drum of Hexane - enough for several London to Brighton Runs.
