It wasn't just power that would deliver the tremendous top speed however. After initial testing at Sauber's F1 wind tunnel, the Veyron was coming up shy of the 400kph target but again the Bugatti engineers would take a different to approach to overcoming the problem. Rather than compromise the visual design of the car, Bugatti introduced active aerodynamics and suspension. At 137mph the nose of the car is lowered by 2 inches and the rear spoiler adjusted to slide into the slip stream. To achieve the monstrous top speed you must first insert the "Top Speed Key" lowering the car further still and allowing the rear wing to retreat back into the lowered position thus reducing drag.
Today over 10 years after its launch the Bugatti Veyron still continues to set benchmarks in the automotive industry and when compared with the latest run of Hybrid Hypercars, it is no slouch. A true triumph for both Bugatti and Volkswagen alike the Veyron redefined what is physically possible in a road car. Just 300 Coupe Veyrons were produced and delivered to customers worldwide.
This unique example was manufactured in 2008. Inside the interior is appointed Beige Hide and with a Grigio Hide dashboard, steering wheel, centre instruments panel and Grigio carpets. The exterior is presented in a stunning and thought to be unique at this point in time for a 16. 4, Blue Abu Dhabi.
The first owner kept the car until December 2012 when it was purchased by its second owner. The most recent owner bought the car in August 2014. Today this example has covered under 11, 700 Miles from new and its condition is exceptional having been cared for with no expense spared by each of its meticulous 3 owners. The car was serviced (with new tyres being fitted) by HR Owen in London in 2018 and in 2019 a three-year all-inclusive service package was purchased for the car from Bugatti and the first service of the three was completed in mid 2019, again by HR Owen.
Accompanied by its original spare key set (with case), very thorough service history, book pack and PDA equipment this Veyron is available for viewing immediately at our showrooms based just outside London.
