I purchased my 1993 Jaguar XJS 4. 0 convertible in the USA in October 2019. It is a very rare left hand drive 5 speed manual car with the strait 6 cylinder engine manufactured in October 1993, its a '94 model year car with the colour coded bumpers. Last of the classic manual Jaguars after the E-type, finished in British racing green with tan leather interior and beige electric hood.
It took me a long time to find this particular model of XJS. This XJS was an export model to the USA and sold their new, other than being left hand drive there are no other differences to a UK or European model. Jaguar made lots of XJS' but very few in this form.
This was a 2-owner car in the USA, and I am the 1st registered owner in the UK. My XJS has done 72000 miles approx with a decent service history as well as a Jaguar heritage certificate, recently had 4 new tyres fitted.
I Travelled across Germany recently and it performed very well returning about 30mpg.
I re-imported this car into the Uk and is all taxes paid and UK registered (L598 DBB) along with all the paperwork to this effect.
In view of the value of E-type convertible's this is a good alternative although not as iconic, especially as it's a manual transmission car. Ideal car to go to Silverstone Classic, Goodwood as well as Jaguar car club meetings and other classic car events around the country or even to drive in Europe to go to Le-mans 24 hours or just on holiday.
I am happy to deliver anywhere in the UK or Europe is no problem.
