* UNDER OFFER* This is one of 154 RHD Fibreglass 308's delivered to the UK between 1975 and 1977, before they were made from steel. It is the only model that Ferrari have made in fibreglass and is very rare. The engine is the original dry sump 3 ltr V8 unit with 4 Weber carbs. It runs very well on unleaded fuel.
This car is a genuine, original and unmolested example, with a verifiable mileage of just 63384. Mot's date back to to 1981.
First registered in June 1976, on chassis 19313, this 308 has been owned by me since 2005 and by a friend of mine (an F1 Engineer) for 20 years before then. Purchased at that time from Greypaul in Loughborough, with a mileage of approx 53000, the car has been regularily serviced and tuned since, including cam belt changes (last in June 2008). The paintwork is unmarked.
Less than 4000 miles ago, the suspension and brakes were completely overhauled, new Koni dampers fitted front and rear, and all bushes renewed. A new set of original spec Michelin XWX 205/ 70 x 14" tyres were also fitted at that time.
In 2008, I had a modern alarm and central locking installed, and the original 7 x 14" magnesium wheels were refurbished. The heavy duty battery is only 1 year old.
With the car is the original space-saver spare wheel, tool role and jack pouches, and handbook.
Unfortunately, I don't use the 308 enough (just 134 miles since Aug 08), hence the sale. It will be sold with a new MOT.
