Jensen Interceptor MK111
Text: MK111 Jensen Interceptor, dark blue metalic, cream leather interior.
This Jensen was brought into us here at FocusFive Autoworks ltd for some small repairs and MOT work. Whilst carrying out our pre-MOT inspection we noticed some issues with the car. A fairly significant ATF leak from the gearbox.
The front callipers require a rebuild due to passing fluid and that the car had had some previous patchwork repairs to the front floor sections and areas of the outer sill. We notified the customer regaring these issues and he agreed to carry out the work on the vehicle. We began with the rust repairs, stripping the interior out of the vehicle allowing access to areas needing repair and also protecting the interior at the same time. Once the interior was out we bagan to notice more previos pacth repairs to the car on seatbelt mounts and rear wheel arches. We came to the conclusion that the car would be best sold at a restoration price therefore someone can get a running driving intercepetor for a fraction of the prce and repair themselves. Yes the car can be patched up again and driven but we advice to repair the rust issues correctly.
so onto the good points - the cars had thousands spent on it over the last 5 years including the new leather interior and cream carpets. The engines been rebuilt by a Jensen specialist including having the cylinder heads converted to run on unleaded fuel. The suspension has also been overhauled with new bushings, dampers and springs, all carried out at specialists. The previous owner had the car resprayed in Dark blue metalic believed to be a mercedes colour but this can be confirmed in the large history file with the car. Overall the car is extreamly presentable and usuable with some welding and small repairs undergone.
