Description
Original 1961 Ferrari 250GTE Series I 2+2 by Pininfarina with Matching Numbers
This 1961 Ferrari 250GTE Series I 2+2 by Pininfarna is an extremely original matching numbers example that's been sitting in storage patiently awaiting straightforward restoration. Attractive black over burgundy leather interior. An unrestored and honest example with charming patina throughout. One of only 299 Series I 250 GTEs built. Offered with a Marcel Massini Report, chassis 2421 has never been apart with the exception of the motor for a rebuild some years back. Since the rebuild the engine has not been started and the car itself requires mechanical attention as it has been off the road for approximately 20 years. The glass, interior, trunk, wheels, spare, and other components are all original and it comes with a new Ansa exhaust. It's had one repaint at some point in its life but is otherwise original. An incredibly exciting opportunity to own a highly sought-after and collectible Series I 250GTE with matching numbers. You'll be hard pressed to find a 250GTE more worthy of restoration than this one.
