Scruffy but reliable daily driver. Please note it looks better in the pictures than it does close up. Starts instantly and runs really well.
Great fun and reliable little convertible with a surprising turn of speed and excellent handling.

Scruffy paint with small areas of peeling lacquer, scuffs, stone chips as you might expect for a car in daily use of this age, but surprisingly solid with very little if any corrosion. All wheel arches are solid and rust free with no scabby edges. Sills are in great condition.
I put a small almost invisible patch on the inside of the roof. The roof is leak free so it can be used in all weathers. It uses no oil and no coolant, never over heats and pulls strongly in every gear. Previous owner told me it had a head gasket upgrade and a remap but no receipts so no idea if this is true or not.
Slight oil leak of a few drops over night, I have a new cam cover gasket that will come with it.
Previously it has been considered uneconomic to repair by an insurance company and this is correctly recorded on the V5C. It had a new front plastic bumper cover and a repaint to one front wing. It was repaired by the owner using used parts and as I say all logged and recorded correctly by DVLA.
Reliable and fun little car to enjoy and use, not a show car. Parts are readily available and refreshingly low cost compared to some of the Japanese rivals.
It is the 1796cc version not the gutless 1600 and unlike many it does have ABS.
No offers as it is fairly priced allowing for the general condition and age.

Use it as it is, or do a bit of light restoration to improve the paintwork. These are just beginning to be recognised as a classic, so if you have ever fancied one, buy one soon while the prices are affordable.

I have probably been a bit harsh in the description, but I would rather be harsh and honest than try and pretend it is perfect like some other cars I have been to see over the year.

Looking at the MOT history you will see it failed on 4th March with a whole list of advisories as well as the failure. It then spent a week in the garage having everything sorted. and passed a new MOT on the 17th March with no advisories because they had been attended to.
