1930 Hillman 14 Fabulous Restored Vehicle SOLD

The Hillman 14 Saloon was in production from 1925 to 1930 and during the five year period 11000 cars left the production line. During this time the 14 model was Hillman Motor Car Co Ltd' main product and was advertised as 'the car that costs less than it should'. The Hillman was manufactured with a long stroke, side valve 1954cc four cylinder built In unit with a four speed gearbox and spiral bevel geared rear axle. The Hillman was sold new with four wheel cabled operated drum brakes and the steel section chassis had semi elliptic leaf springs all round. We can report that in a test by Autocar magazine, the Hillman top speed was 55 mph and fuel consumption 23-24 mpg.

Lawson Sports and Vintage are delighted to offer this extremely rare pre war vehicle that has just arrived in part exchange from a local customer where he owned the vehicle for 2 trouble free years touring round the Peak District, having purchased from one of his very good friends in Essex where the car was in a stunning collection of cars since the early 90’s where it underwent a full restoration which in todays terms would cost quite easily twice the current asking price to restore to this standard today.

This delightful saloon vehicle really needs to be viewed to appreciate the level of detail in this vehicle yet however still gives you a fabulous vintage feel. Complete with a nice history file including the original brown log book.

Lawson Sports and Vintage would like to ask you to contact Richard in our classic department directly on the details below we welcome all part exchanges modern or pre war.
