1967 Ferrari 330 GTC For Sale
• Ferrari Classiche Certified (Red Book)
• Matching Numbers for Motor and Gearbox
• High-quality restoration and ongoing maintenance
• Owned for many years by Emilio Gnutti as part of the largest and most important Ferrari collection in Italy
• Enzo Ferrari particularly appreciated the 330 GTC and used one as his private vehicle
Our Ferrari 330 GTC offered here was first delivered in 1967 in Pavia, Italy. The vehicle still bears the original number plate of its first registration. Even after that, the vehicle has never left Northern Italy. This 330 GTC is one of the few that left the factory in black (Nero). Together with light brown leather, this results in a stylish original colour scheme that is still present today and gives the car a very classy and sophisticated appearance. For many years, the car was part of Emilio Gnutti's probably best-known and also largest Ferrari collection in Italy, which includes over 60 vehicles. Among them are rare road sports cars and famous motor sport Ferraris. There, the car underwent a high-quality restoration about 15 years ago and is excellently preserved. Many interior components are in original condition. Since then, the 330 GTC has been maintained and serviced in the collection, but rarely driven. A certification from Ferrari Classiche is available. According to this, the engine, gearbox, chassis and body are identical in numbers (Matching Numbers) as well as other components such as wheel suspensions, wheels/ rims and brake system are true to type for the original specification. Equipped with Borrani chrome spoke rims and the obligatory Ansa Classic exhaust system, this Ferrai 330 GTC makes a "bella figura" on summer trips and journeys or at classic car events. It is ready for action immediately for all these experiences.
When the Ferrari 250 GT Lusso was withdrawn from the range in 1964, it left a gap between the 275 GTB Berlinetta and the 330 GT 2+2. It was not until 1966 that the 330 GTC succeeded it, when it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show. The design of the two-seater coupé was, as usual, by Pininfarina (designer: Aldo Brovarone), where the body was also manufactured, and combined various design elements of other models. The front with the narrow, oval radiator grille and the recessed headlights, for example, was based on the 500 Superfast and the rear on the 275 GTS. All in all, the 330 GTC appears comparatively unobtrusive and discreet. This is also helped by the graceful roof, which with its narrow pillars provides a certain lightness in both the design and the interior. The engine came from the 330 GT 2+2: a 4 litre V12 with three Weber 40DCZ/ 6 carburettors or optionally 40DFI/ 2 twin carburettors, which produced a whopping 300 hp. The technical layout - especially chassis and drive - was taken over from the 275 GTB. This included the transaxle principle with five-speed gearbox and independent rear suspension with coil springs, wishbones and Koni shock absorbers. The front suspension had unequal-length wishbones with coil springs and Koni hydraulic shock absorbers. The car was a considerable success with around 600 examples in just two years, so that the successor 365 GTC (from 1968) took over the body almost unchanged.
