Stately and rare Humber Pullman. Remarkable original condition and in full working order. Great fun to drive and was indeed regularly driven until recently before being stored for the winter. It is still regularly started and all systems checked while in storage. Original number plate and buff log book, as well as modern V5C.
The Thrupp and Maberly bodywork is in very good condition structurally and no evidence of any welding underneath. Paintwork is old and has marks but really quite remarkable for its age, with no rusty areas, as can be seen in the photos.

4. 1L original straight six engine starts on the button and provides plenty of power. The column shift 4 speed manual gearbox is in good order too.

New exhaust and ignition system, converted to negative earth and a disguised alternator. I have the original dynamo and other spares.

All other electrical/ mechanical systems in full working condition including the semaphore indicators and optional, very advanced for its day, 3 way heating system. Even the clock and cigar lighters work!

The brake system has been overhauled, as has the fuel system.
The interior is largely original. The boot has new wood lining. The chrome work is in good original condition.

First owner was the 5th Baron Lord Harris of Kent. As part of his duties as Vice-Lieutenant of Kent he claimed to have carried the Queen Mother in the car on several occasions. Documentary evidence provided.

The car is located in Newport, South Wales. Open to sensible offers.

Offered for sale from a small but select private collection. First registered on 9th July 1929, still retaining its original registration number of FM 5650 and last on the road in 1989, this Humber has nevertheless been maintained in running and driving condition. It would arguably benefit from some gentle cosmetic ...
