The car is in excellent mechanical and bodily condition. It has had a full engine and gearbox rebuild back in 2014 (done by myself), and also an interior restoration with new seat foams and vinyl covers.

It also has minilite style alloy wheels fitted (15") with four almost new tyres.

I purchased the car back in 2013 from a classic car dealer near salisbury, and have used it fairly regularly ever since. It is MOT exempt and tax-free, due to being over 40 years old.

It comes with a large history file, containing almost all of the MOTs it has ever had, plus of course very many receipts for work done and parts replaced during it's history.

I've not done any work to the exterior during my ownership, but it's in excellent condition.

There are virtually no signs of rust anywhere, and the underside is in very solid condition, with no signs of welding. The underside is a little grubby / oily of course.

It's probably had some paint work before my ownership, but the paint is in great condition and shines up really well, although there are a few minor dings and blemishes here and there as you'd expect for a car of this age.

The interior benefits from restored seats. The seat foam and support straps have all been replaced, and grey vinyl covers have been fitted, both front and rear.

The metal dashboard has also been refurbished, with a complete strip down and re-paint with the correct black wrinkle paint.

All gauges and switches work as expected, but the original MG clock has been replaced with a voltmeter, as the original was temperamental and very noisy!

The original radio is gone, replaced with a modern unit with DAB and bluetooth.

The engine and gearbox are both in excellent condition. They were rebuilt by myself back in 2014. It runs very reliably with good performance and a great sound. It does not burn any appreciable amount of oil.

The engine has had a +30 rebore with new pistons and rings, a reground crank with new shells, new camshaft and lifters with a duplex timing chain set and vernier pulley. The engine also benefits from a MSD multiple-spark capacitive discharge ignition system, coupled with a new distributor from 123-ignition (with bluetooth support). The ignition maps are all digital, and can be adjusted using a mobile app.

The gearbox has had some minor work, mainly replacing a noisy input bearing. The clutch was also replaced at the time of the engine/ gearbox work of course.

The diff also had some attention to replace worn thrust washers, and to replace the input oil seal.

The braking system is almost all completely renewed, with new calipers, discs, pads, drums, shoes, including a new master cylinder.

The exhaust is a fairly new stainless steel system from Moss. Sounds nice and sporty.

The suspension has been lowered to chrome bumper height with some lowered springs, and the rear benefits from a modern tubular shock conversion, while the front retains the original armstrong lever-arm dampers. The new alloy wheels fit the arches very nicely with the lowered ride height.
