With only something like 400 examples left on the road, the MGC GT is fast becoming a rare British Sports car, only 9000 examples were produced between 1967 and 1969. The MGC was a simple concept. Take the highly successful MGB chassis and replace the 4 pot engine with a bigger 3912cc straight six and hey presto !! BMC had come up with a reasonably priced Grand Tourer. As the sales patter went at the time, a poor man's Aston Martin or if it's good enough for Prince Charles it's good enough for you.

The Automatic version we offer here has recently emerged from a 6 year ground up restoration costing something in the region of £40, 000 to complete. The accompanying history file contains a CD record of all the work carried out. The result is a credit to the last owner who project managed the whole process. The history file also contains a wedge of invoices to confirm all monies spent on the rebuild, together with a heritage certificate confirming that the car is finished in the same Mineral blue that it emerged with from the MG Abingdon plant in 1969.

Part exchange welcome, ancient or modern, funds either way.
