The Car Co Chelsea is delighted to present this stunning example of the iconic 1950s British classic - the Jaguar XK120.

The XK120 was Jaguar's first post-war sports car, built between 1948 and 1954. It was unveiled at the 1948 London Motor Show and was put into production shortly after. The name XK120 comes from the car's remarkable top speed of 120mph - the world's fastest car at the time.

This fully restored, matching numbers car is presented in incredible condition both cosmetically and mechanically.

This car has spent much of its life in a collection with the original owner, a Mr Kumar, before being imported to the UK by the current owner, however, the car does come with certification from Jaguar that it was originally registered in the UK.

Four years ago this car completed a seven years restoration, including a total engine rebuild with Mahle pistons, new clutch, rebuilt gearbox, new oil pump supplied by Guy Broad with special oil pump gears, new stainless steel exhaust system with new manifold, new wiring loom, and new master cylinders. The front suspension was also modified from drums to discs with four-pot calipers, and the rear suspension has brand new springs and drums, as well as new wire wheel hubs on the front and back with new chrome spinners. The car also has all brand new 16-inch wire wheels with white wall Firestone tyres. All of the electronics in the cockpit and brand new and all instruments have been tested and reconditioned where necessary. All parts were supplied by the renowned Specialist Motors.

Cosmetically the car has also been completely restored to an incredibly high standard. The body was removed and the chassis repainted, all of the chrome on the bodywork is brand new and all of the lamps are new. Additionally, the car has a brand new complete red leather interior with weather equipment (new hood, tonnel, and side windows).

The car has covered just 100 miles in the four years since the restoration.
