This is most possibly the best restored Dolomite Sprint still in existence and is now offered for sale.
UTU233M is a very well known car in Dolomite Sprint circles due to the previous owner/ restorer cataloguing the restoration every step along the way on the Dolomite Sprint forum, the details of which can still be viewed online.
Chassis VA969 is one of the early most desirable pre sale cars, and like all the first 1, 000 cars built, is finished Mimosa Yellow paintwork. Our car still features the rare early original features including the mild steel twin tail pipe exhaust and the offside rear wing radio aerial although for comfortable cruising an overdrive gearbox has been fitted – the early cars did not have overdrive but thankfully for the purists, the original 4 speed gearbox - fully restored, is retained and sold with the car.
The car can only be described as stunning and most definitely in a better condition than when it rolled off the production line 50 years ago. No stone was left unturned during the restoration with the owner painstakingly sourcing new old stock original parts which would be near impossible today. The original numbers matching engine has been fully rebuilt, the interior re trimmed in the original cloth and the underside, under bonnet and boot are all as good as the outside.
It would be near impossible to find a decent enough Sprint and the parts required to restore to a level of quality such as this today, and if you could, you would be looking at expense much more than the asking price of this very special vehicle.
This car is collector quality and unfortunately quality doesn’t come cheap. There is a fully documented history file of the car prior to the restoration through to today which is available for viewing on site. The photos, videos and the information we have offered is comprehensive. If interested, we would encourage you to please take time to make an appointment to view the car and associated paperwork.
The High Resolution Photos and Video can be found on our website, Woldside Classics
We can arrange Nationwide Delivery in a covered vehicle.
