Description

The Ferrari 250 GT Pinin Farina is Ferrari’s first volume model. You understand: volume model should be taken with a grain of salt in this case because only 350 units of the 250 ‘PF’ will be built. The model is presented at the Milan Motor Show in 1958. The car made quite an impression at that show, with its slim, elongated lines and enormous luxury, in addition to, of course, the regular dose of racing genes.

This 250 GT Pinin Farina makes our mouths water a bit, we admit that. The incredibly tasteful two-tone paint, although we prefer the Italian description ‘bicolore’, consists of a tasteful dark grey paint, called Grigio Scuro, in combination with a black roof.
The first delivery of this 250 takes place through the German importer, Auto Becker, in September 1959. In the same year, the car moves to Luigi Chinetti Motors in Connecticut, America. This early version still has the much loved Tipo 128C engine, with ‘Inside plug’. This means that the spark plugs can be found in the middle of the V-shaped cylinder banks.
In the 1980s, the Ferrari moves from America to England, where the 250 gets a new owner, Mr. Meek. The lucky owner is a real enthusiast and wins with his Ferrari, among other things, the Ferrari Owners Club Concours in Brocket Hall.
The years pass and when the owner moves to America in 1990, the car goes that way again to come back to Europe in 2012 for a complete restoration, where the body is completely stripped and the technology is overhauled by an official Ferrari Service Centre. Photos of the restoration are available and show a very professional and comprehensive approach.

The body of the 250 GT is in beautiful condition. Beautiful sleek sheet metal with perfect fits and lovely paint make the car an absolute head-turner of the most stylish kind. The chrome contrasts incredibly beautifully with the dark colour and is also in perfect condition. Borrani spoked wheels complete the outdoor party.

There is also a party inside, with an interior that we only encounter in the most exclusive cars of that time. A steel dashboard painted in body colour with phenomenally beautiful clocks and instruments and a beautiful, large and slim wooden steering wheel in front of you. If we also mention the beautiful biscuit-coloured leather, we can say that it is one of the most beautiful colour combinations for such a car.

The technology of this beautiful coupe is in the same condition as the appearance: completely top. The Ferrari is a great car for long journeys, where the engine simply does a fantastic job with lots of torque and power and every kilometre ensures that you are driving around in a very exclusive car. The Ferrari steers like a dream, but also stretched roads where the prancing horse can stretch its legs are fantastic with this Italian coupé

It is not known how many 250 GTs are left of the 350, partly due to the fact that quite a few of these cars have been sacrificed in the past to use as the basis for a different body. This car has been spared and is now waiting for a new owner who can count himself lucky with this incredibly beautiful GT.
Present with the car: many invoices for maintenance and service, dating back to the 1990s. Title documents present. There is also an original brochure, period Road&Track and parts catalogue.
