The roadster version of the Vantage was unveiled at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show. The design follows the same philosophy as the Coupé, but the distinctive electric canvas top and the bulges behind the seats make it truly iconic.
The Roadster is just 100 kilos heavier than the Coupé version and has the same aluminum chassis architecture which means it is extremely rigid, even for a 'roofless' car.
The carbon details and aerodynamic appendages are subtle, guaranteeing the elegance typical of an Aston Martin, but they are directly copied from the competition and serve two important purposes: accentuating the aesthetic aggressiveness and improving the behavior of the engine and chassis!
The 4. 7-liter V8 engine, with 436 hp, is mated to a 7-speed Sportshift II robotic manual transmission and rockets the baby Aston to 100 km/ h in 4. 5 seconds. With the top down, its song becomes louder, enhancing the driving experience and driving pleasure.
