1931 Austin 7 Boat Tail for sale by auction on June 17th SOLD

1931 Austin 7 Boat Tail
Reg. no. GP 2743
Chassis no. 138061
Engine no. t. b. a.
One of the rarer body styles of the Austin 7 was the boat-tailed model, as offered here. Intended to be a sportier model than the standard car, it nevertheless remained practical – storage space was provided, and the cockpit was a comfortable size for touring. This particular example, dating from 1931, was the subject of a thorough restoration from 2013 to 2015; it was completely stripped down to bare metal, the engine, gearbox and electrics were rebuilt, and it was repainted and retrimmed. Of the body, the rear section and floor are original, while the bulkhead and doors are new. Now ready to use and enjoy, the car also comes with a V5c as well as an old log book.
This and 100 other classic cars will be sold at auction, many UNRESERVED, on June 17th at Allington, near Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 6LJ
