1997 Aprilia Pegaso 650 Sidecar outfit, MOTed and ready to ride SOLD
This sidecar outfit was originally built and set up by the Velorex agent in Ireland. So it was registered and used all over Ireland. It was then imported by us at F2 Motorcycles Ltd in 2015, serviced, MOT and properly registered on UK plates. Since then it has had one owner in the UK who has enjoyed it, but is now giving up sidecars as he never has time to ride them. The MOTs support this as he seems to cover about 500 miles a year.
The pictures do make it look better than it is. It's far from scruffy but it is 1997 bike and it has been used even in the rain. It has now covered a total of 25000 miles, has been well maintained and every thing works exactly as it should.
The MOT runs out June 2018 and it has covered under 300 miles since it passed the last MOT.
Serviced using semi synthetic oil and new filter just 200 miles ago
New starter motor clutch was fitted about 900 miles ago.
The Aprilia Pegaso uses pretty much the same engine as the BMW F650 and they have a good record for reliability. Some reports on forums mention the starter clutch as a potential week point, but this one has been replaced.
The sidecar has been professionally colour matched from new complete with matching graphics.
It goes well, handles well, a little floaty, but this type of bike with long travel suspension always will be. It is very comfortable.
The little spotlight fitted to the sidecar frame can be turned on and off separately and the bike is fitted with heated grips.
Overall a good working sidecar combination that is ready to use and enjoy.
