Fraser Nash Car Club

The FRAZER NASH CAR CLUB, founded in 1933, became a Section of the Vintage Sports Car Club in 1948 and was re-formed in December 2005 as the Frazer Nash Car Club Limited (FNCC), an independent company, limited by guarantee.

Its purpose is to encourage the preservation of chain-driven Frazer Nash and GN cars, to maintain a register of all existing cars and to provide a means of interchange of technical information and spares.

Membership

There are five classes of membership:

HONORARY - awarded by a majority vote at an AGM.

FULL - limited to owners of chain gang cars.

ASSOCIATE - open to past and prospective owners of chain driven cars and owners of Frazer Nash BMW or post-war Frazer Nash cars.

JUNIOR - Under 25 years.

FAMILY - open to partners of full members.

Only full members have voting rights and may hold office in the Club.

The annual subscription is currently £25 for Full and Associate members and £3 for Family members. Junior members pay only 50% of the current subscription and the entry fee is waived. There is an entry fee of £5 for everyone 25 and over. Overseas members pay a subscription of £32 to cover the extra cost of airmail postage. Sterling cheques payable to FNCC Ltd.

Subscriptions are due on 1st January each year but for those joining on or after October 1st, the subscription will cover the ensuing year.

Competition

The Club encourages members to enter their cars in all types of competition and we are registered with the MSA for the promotion of competitions of closed status. We have a large number of annual aggregate trophies and there are also various awards for the best performances by 'Nashes in VSCC events.

Spares

There is an active spares scheme for the manufacture of new parts to the original specifications and many items are held in stock and managed by Richard Parsons. Spares are available to for sale to FNCC members only. Members can find Richard's details on the relevant page in the front of every Gazette

Social Events

Functions are held from time to time. Early in December, every year, we hold the Christmas Party. There is also a Summer Picnic. Every ten years there is a Raid to the South Tyrol; the next one will be in 2009. Other Raids are held annually either at home or overseas.

The Newsletter

A newsletter is sent to all members, at intervals, to keep them informed of Club affairs and to remind them of forthcoming events. The newsletter is written by John Sheard and any items, including advertisements, that you may wish to have included should be sent to him. [email protected]

The Chain Gang Gazette

The Editor has a limited supply of back numbers available and reprints of the very early Gazettes (nos. 1 - 20 which were simple Roneoed sheets but make fascinating reading), are available from the Secretary.

Registry

It is intended that the Registry should contain full details of all existing cars and new full members are required to complete a Registry Questionnaire and return it to the Secretary.
