Childish? Maybe. Appealing? Without a doubt. And here’s your chance to get a genuine police special of your own. Built in 1990, this 1,340cc V-Twin Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Police Special began life as a squad bike in Hillsborough County, Tampa Bay, Florida.

It was imported to the UK soon after it was decommissioned and has been with its current family owners for over 20 years, still wearing its police livery and still fitted with the Wehlen sirens and loudhailer that were fitted to it as part of its police specification.

It’s not only a cool thing – a great way of living out your childhood fantasies – but it’s also a potential money spinner, ideal for film and TV use, or as a quirky and unusual wedding hire vehicle. It’s also a guaranteed talking point at shows, especially if you give the lights and sirens a blast.
