The Appeal

Between 1948 and 1954, Jaguar of Coventry produced what may well be one of the most desirable sports cars in history. Only 12,055 of these sleek, I6-powered sports cars were built, split between three different body styles. They quickly proved themselves not only as exceptional summer sports cars, but as exceptional racers - and continue a legacy of being one of the most prized cars Jaguar ever built.
This impeccable example was originally supplied to the USA, but it’s in its later life in Europe that it gained particular significance. In 2009, the car first arrived in Italy - and after an impressive chunk of restoration work, completed the 2020 Mille Miglia. The resulting photographic record may well be one of the most stunning shoots we’ve ever seen for a car.
Still presented in its beguiling livery of red, with a biscuit interior and fawn soft top, this car is a simply exceptional ambassador to one of Jaguar’s most beloved classics - and a golden era of the Great British roadster.
