Owned from new by my garage business and subsequently transferred to my current classic car parts business following retirement.
Supplied new by MG dealer Wrights of Lincoln and only driven by my wife and me. Genuine mileage of 66200.
Always garaged at home address and now requires a new home due to ageing owner. Little recent use during the last 5 years.
The car is in good condition and unaltered from its original factory specification (e. g MG radio/ cassette with code, no power steering, hood cover, 2 keys with code, unused spare wheel)
Mechanical and body-work maintenance completed as required.
The vehicle has never been involved in an accident and any attention to the body has been to keep on top of corrosion (two new front wings for instance).
Mechanical work has included an uprated head gasket, coolant pipes and hoses, exhaust system, tyres and brakes.
The car has been with me for 26 years and is still a joy to take out on a sunny day with the top down. Someone can carry on with this experience.
The SRS light on the dash has intermittently caused problems (a common fault) and the soft top is showing signs of wear. Otherwise wear is consistent with age.
The only accessory fitted is a klaxon horn and switch.

The car has been maintained and serviced by me from new at MG dealers or my own garage and more recently by independent garages.
I can vouch for the complete history of the car and I have every MOT test certificate from 1999 when it was first required.
The original owner's handbook and service book are available.
The car was bought new from Wrights of Lincoln, an official RoverMG dealer on 1st March 1996.

The car has been given the benefit of my pride in order to maintain the general look of the exterior condition. It appears in good condition for its age.
Corrosion has been monitored and attended to as required.
It has had two new front wings and one rear quarter panel with further attention to the wheel arch and sill corrosion.
The bubbling of paintwork near the arches is currently visible but does not detract from the overall appearance.
The alloy road wheels are generally good for their age but show age.
The paintwork has been maintained and gives an appearance of a car in good condition.
The mirrors and exterior trim are in good condition.

The interior condition of the car is commensurate with any sports car of this age.
There is rain staining on the driver's seat and the weather seals could do better, but the door windows can be lowered and raised to create a better seal.
The boot is clean and tidy and has no issues.
There is no air conditioning and, in my opinion, an open-top sports car does not need it.
There is a factory-fitted spare wheel which has never been used.
The seats and door liners are cloth.
The carpets are in good condition and have genuine MG mats.
There is a klaxon fitted in the bonnet area that is operated by a KLAXON switch in the cab. This does not replace the factory-fitted horn which is also used as the car alarm.

The car is offered with all original specifications and has not been involved in an accident.
No structural repairs have been carried out or deemed necessary.
The front wings and one rear quarter have been replaced due to corrosion.
Servicing and mechanical repairs have been carried out when required.
The car has been garaged throughout its life.
