I originally purchased this car with the intention of restoring the vehicle to its former glory of being a show winning car. The history for this car is scattered due to the previous owner passing. His partner who I purchased the vehicle from had some history but not all. Luckily through social media, a few of the previous owners got in touch! Early into owning the car I made the decision to hand the car over to Classic Bahnstormers, a BMW Specialist, and essentially I requested that they thoroughly go over the car and highlight what was urgent to less urgent. To my delight, the engine and running gear got the all clear, bar a few things which were addressed (see list below) However, the E28 needed work underneath.

Ideally the car is now at a stage where it will need some minor fabrication work to the cosmetics before treating it to a full respray to get it back to its former glory. This is an ideal running project car.

10 Former Keepers MOT until March 28th 2023 Due to the nature of how I obtained the car, I don't have all of the history, however I have made contact with 2 of the previous owners who are the owners prior to the lady who I purchased it off and this has allowed me to understand that the vehicle was well maintained within their ownership.

The exterior of this car is overall good. Once it's been cleaned and detailed it turns heads everywhere it goes. This car still retains the original shadow line trim (black trim instead of chrome) and the moon roof is still fully operational.
Upon closer inspection, theres a minor scuff on the rear left bumper. Theres some surface rust starting to come through in a few places. The underside of the front bumper was scraped when being taken off of the transporter. The passengers side sill trim is missing, however you can still get these. The wheels overall are good, however again could do with being reworked or even better find an original set of factory BBS to go back on the car. The bottoms of the doors could do with some fabrication work as rust is present but doesn't effect the doors operation and can only be seen on the inside. The sunroof is in full working condition and is great to have open on a sunny summers day! Overall I would say that it needs cosmetic attention now that the underside and structure of the vehicle has been addressed. But that if you wanted to drive the car around before commencing the work, that it is still a very well presented car.

The interior on this cc has been really well maintained. All of the interior is in tact and original. The seats in my eyes could do with being reworked, but it depends on how far the new owner wants to go with reworking the vehicle. Otherwise, they are in tact with no tears or rips, they're just aged. There is a minor crack on the top of drivers door card, which could be addressed without replacing the whole door card. But this is a minor detail.

Mechanically this car has been really good, its always started without a hitch and is a smooth drive. I have recently had a temperamental issue with the front left brake, so i suspect a calliper overhaul should address this issue. But as the 'sticking' temperamental issue doesn't always occur when driving I haven't addressed this, but I would like to highlight it! The lock mechanism on the boot works, however could do with being overhauled as it can be sticky. Flicking the automatic system between Sport and Eco works really well too.
