For Sale is my very rare Ex cooper and Abecassis Vincent 998cc engined V twin Cooper (stretched Mk 4 chassis )
The car has been recently prepared by Cameron Engineering and ready for hill climbing ( competed at Bernina and Impney many times ) or the Goodwood Trophy meetings. It has a huge history file and chronological description of its life.

This has its original chassis and just as importantly its original matching numbers proto white lightning engine along with its engraved engine case by Phil Irving ! The engine is documented in the Vincent 'something about lightnings' bible by Trento and it also has its original build documents .

The body is all aluminium and again believed to be original . Its currently sporting a roll bar and struts which where designed to be easily removable for originality.

1948- April 14th : HRD supplied Engine number F10AB/ 1A/ 700 as a prototype black/ white lightning engine to HW motors (owned by George Abecassis) and built into the first stretched Cooper Mk4 chassis by Phil Irving , John Cooper , George Abecassis and Alf Francis . It became the first Cooper twin production racing car
1948 September 18th : John Cooper drove the car ( number 48 ) in the first Goodwood Race meeting
1949 April 18th : George Abecassis raced the car ( number 52 ) at the Goodwood Easter meeting
Subsequent Continuous race History all documented ( including letters from John Cooper, George Abercassis, Alf Francis , Owen Maddock ) .

The car is original and genuine and backed by extensive history. Just been prepared and ready to run . A car with this history , provenance and capability doesnt come around often .
