First registered in Japan this stunning low mileage XKR has had 3 previous owners. It has full service history and current MOT (expires 21/ 03/ 25). The car was bought from a specialist UK dealer in March 2020.
This stunning convertible XKR left the Jaguar factory in early 1999 and was exported to Jaguar Cars Tokyo. It was first registered in March 1999 and led, what appears to have been, a pampered life, as is evident from its condition - apparently used in Japan only on hi-days and holidays. I have used the car in much the same way. Japan has a temperate climate, with fairly mild, sunny winters and hot, summers. That climate is fantastic for preserving cars, meaning cars from Japan rarely have rust issues and this car is no exception. The car returned to the UK in 2015/ 16. My Jaguar specialist describes it as being in excellent/ super condition. I replaced the older beige coloured hood with a new black hood (now just over 4 years old and in perfect condition). I wax-oiled the underside in 2020 for added protection and this remains effective. All 4 tyres have been replaced by me and it has a new battery (2021). During the winter the car is stored in a dry barn and kept covered. It drives beautifully and is pure joy to drive at any time but especially on warm sunny days with the top down. The engine and power generated are as good as new. The interior is in spectacular condition (usual fair wear excepted). Leather sets are as good as new. I will be genuinely sad to say goodbye.
