Just under £1, 000 recently spent with a classic car specialist in Hampshire with the following done: diagnose and resolve fuel leak, renew carburettor and choke cable, vapour canister was removed, renew choke cable, renew battery, modify throttle linkage, top up brake fluid
I had the car sold about a year ago and a carburettor issue occurred simultaneously. The car later sat with a London garage who, unfortunately, could not get the vehicle running after asking me to purchase different parts for the Riva. I later sourced a classic car specialist in Hampshire and they got the car running very swiftly with amendments made (works listed above). The Lada currently resides in their garage and the collection will be from there.
A passenger side headlight will be required and a repaint is a must for a new owner as there is some rust on the bodywork. I have enclosed some photos of the relevant areas. There are 3 photos taken on 19th July 2023 when the car was being transported to the classic specialist from London

New parts also fitted in 2018 were rear slave cylinders, brake drum, brake shoes, new rear factory lights, and battery.
Apparently, there are only 7 right-hand drive Riva's now remaining on the UK roads.
Sensible offers/ enquiries are more than welcomeI have always had a soft spot for these and bought the car about 9 years ago. The history file also very much interested me as it had the original wallet, books, and the Lada tool kit. I have noticed that the later Rivas have become popular now and when in mint condition are fetching high figures. This car repainted with the history and low miles will certainly be worth considerably more than what it will be selling for.
