UPDATE 23/ 2/ 24: The car now has 13 months MOT to 22nd March 2025 and the price has been reduced by £500 as 2 new front tyres and a short service will be needed in due course.
This is a well maintained and reliable car that's kept in regular use; not one of the many cars out there that are at a seemingly bargain price, because they are unused, harbouring faults and will probably cost the purchase price again to fix up!
This car presents well in Grigio Touring with unique piano black vents, mirrors and wheels and a beautiful blue leather interior. The car has proven to be a very reliable and usable GT car in my ownership. Full Service History from day one comes in a thick lever arch file with the original book pack, 2 keys plus the red one, and the original Maserati tool kit. I have paperwork to show that the common issues have all been dealt with, including: throttle body and pedal potentiometer, new discs and pads all round, phonic rings, recon radiator, AC compressor, valve clearances and shims, rear crank seal, cam cover repaint, prop shaft coupling, intercooler replacement, front subframe replaced, HVAC replaced, reconditioned gearbox, wishbones and uprights replaced, turbos checked and new retaining bolts fitted, various sensors replaced, gaskets and hoses as required, all in addition to regular servicing and a very recent cam belt change with new tensioners, bearings and water pump. The sticky interior plastics have been cleaned and re-painted. The instrument binnacle was replaced at 70k miles - which was picked up at MOT - and the actual mileage is around 76K but will continue to go up as the car is kept in use.
SPARES: a diagnostic computer, car cover and a few parts can be included, subject to offer.
LOCATION: Cowes, Isle of Wight; a 25 minute journey on the RedJet from Southampton Town Quay. Let me know what boat you’re on and I’ll meet you in the car at the terminal.
The car was sold by Maranello, Egham to the first owner in Scotland where it changed hands until 2016 when it was auctioned by Coys of Kensington to a renowned Italian motoring journalist. He then had the car renovated by McGrath before it was sold to a collector in Hampshire in 2019. He continued to have the car maintained by McGrath and the Maserati Shed, and then I acquired it in early 2022. I sent it to Emblem in March 2023 for a very thorough service which included cambelts, tensioners and water pump at a cost of over £4k. I fitted new rear tyres for a road trip to France, in August last year, during which the car behaved impeccably. All that should be required is routine maintenance until the next cam-belt change in 3 years time.
