1977 Triumph Dolomite Track Weapon - Cosworth 2. 9 Turbo Powered!
Hi and welcome to my listing for something a bit different! This Triumph Dolomite has been highly modified. It has had its original 1296cc engine stripped out and is now powered by a turbocharged 2. 9 litre Cosworth engine making it quite an impressive machine.
Spec includes but is not limited to: 2. 9 Cosworth BOA turbo engine, Mazda RX8 gearbox, lightened crank and flywheel, forged pistons and rods, steel headgasket, wilwood brakes, braided lines, coilovers, lightweight fibreglass bonnet and boot.
Hats off to the previous owner of this impressive build as you wouldn't believe such an engine would fit inside the dolomite unless you saw it.
Interior has been stripped out but still retains the original dash and door cards. Leather seats from a later car have been fitted with the addition of a half rollcage.
Bodywork presents well and paintwork looks good but is not perfect close up, not that it needs to be as a track focused car. It has been finished in the style of the period 'Leyland Cars' livery.
Would make an ideal track car/ project. I have taken it out for a quick blast and while you could probably use it on the road, it is quite a raw experience with the lack of sound deadening etc. Great fun though, fast and loud!!
Comes with spare keys, workshop manual, and a quantity of invoices showing parts purchased/ work done.
