Description
Concours condition, low mileage, VFR750V in Honda red (the most popular colour and arguably the best looking of all the VFR’s made). One of the last to be manufactured in 1997. Currently part of a collection and unused for the last 5 years (apart from a short trip for MOT). Original (incl tool kit, rear seat cowl and passenger grab rails). The following work was carried out in 2020 after the bike was purchased with careful attention to detail and with a focus on preserving its original condition:
Original calipers were in fine working order, however, these were rebuilt anyway using stainless steel pistons (originals are rust prone) with seals and fluids replaced.
Centre stand removed and repainted, exhaust collector box cleaned and repainted, rear silencer polished.
Original chain sprockets removed, cleaned and refitted. All pivots around swing arm and rear shocker lubricated.
Oil cooler removed and hard pipes that are prone to rust were cleaned and repainted.
Front fork stanchions and lower legs also prone to erosion and road wear were re-chromed and repainted.
Serviced, new fluids & filter.
Tyres in excellent conditionRides like a new bike with engine barely run in.
Widely regarded as one of the best and most over engineered bikes Honda ever made and an appreciating classic.
The bike has been dry stored for the last 5 years (engine, brakes, clutch tested every 4 months).
12 month MOT, history file with receipts.
Engine number and VIN checked and matched and are applicable to European Direct model (David Silver Honda Spares).
2 UK owners (imported from Japan by the first owner).
