Grrr! I have decided to sell one of my ADO16s.
My house build (where i will eventually live) is taking much longer than antisipated.
There will also be less enclosed garage space for my cars.
My wonderful 1974 Austin Countryman mk 111 will have to go.
Check out its fantastic MOT history. Yes that a genuine 31, 900 miles.
Possibley the lowest mileage Countryman in the UK,
I have owned it over 2 and a half years, was going to be a keeper but as mentiond, it has to be garaged,
My personal reg will come back to me and is not included in the sale, so it will most likely go back to ROA 22M
Its history is pleantful. During my ownership I have spent thousands, Inluding....
A full respay (it didnt need it) but I accidentally rubbed away sone paint from the top of the offside front wing???!!!!!!!!!!!!
So i had the complete car done.
The headlining is perfect
All the seats are perfect
New best quality fitted carpets
New steeing rack, and track rod ends.
New tyres
New starter motor
New seatbelts
New front brakes
New engine ancillaries... heater valve, thermostat, plugs, points, ect.
All the seats are perfect with no wear, rips or holes,
The underneath is perfect as is the bulkhead, and sills, if you pour water down the heater vents, the water comes out where it should. i know i tested it then dried it out!!!!!!!!
I had the underneath very lightly Lanogarded, plus when the carpets and seats were out i wax injected all the cavities.
The door shuts are absolutely perfect, an close with a gentle push.
I Changed the bonnet stay to the telescopic version.
Now has the correct oblong wing mirrors.
The car was waxoiled from new, thats prbably one of the reasons why its so good today.
The headlining is perfect.
It is not concurse but bloody good.
I have put a bluetooth radio in and have hidden the pioneer speakers under the dash, there is actually provsion for them! The telephone quality is great.
I belive its one of only 9 Austin Countrymen left in the UK and mine is most likely one of the best.
It has the extra metal bar beneth the rear seats that can be swung up to turn the seating into a double bed!

The car is currently in Bowden Cheshire at a friends' very posh garage, however he needs his garage back!
As the dealers say "find another one"Get in, start it up and drive it, use it and it is comfortable and smooth.
