We hate to be the ones to break it to you, but 2009 was a full ten years ago. It was not, as we would like to believe, last week. But, as we all know, time flies. It certainly flies when, as the old adage goes, you\u2019re having fun. And that\u2019s what brings us to Singer Vehicle Design<\/a>. A company that has clearly been having fun since its inception a decade ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Singer,<\/p>\n

To celebrate a successful ten years, Singer Vehicle Design will be at this weekend\u2019s Goodwood event in a big way. Firstly, there will be the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study 911, or DLS for short. The development car from the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) will be on display in the Michelin Supercar Paddock during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, returning for its second year, but this time wrapped in special livery to celebrate the culmination of the four-year development project. The car will also run on the Hillclimb course throughout the event \u2013 Singer is, after all, about the motion, not just looking pretty.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Singer,<\/p>\n

DLS is a client-inspired collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering and a gaggle of technical partners, including Michelin, Bosch, Brembo, BBS Motorsports, Hewland, Recaro and Momo, in pursuit of the most advanced air-cooled Porsche 911 in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second car in attendance will be the Sussex Collection 911. The \u2019Sussex\u2019 commission is \u201can example of a discrete gentleman\u2019s race car for the road\u201d whatever that means? It\u2019s a fast, nice old 911 in a nutshell. This car is used as a daily driver by its owner for everything from commuting to work to visiting the racetrack and is specified accordingly. The vehicle is a celebration of the 911\u2019s ability to be the only car you need.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Singer,<\/p>\n

Finally, Singer will be talking about the Mulholland Collection 911. Sadly, the car won\u2019t be there in the metal, so we\u2019ll just have to drool over the impressive imagery. The Mulholland commission is the response to a client brief for an undiluted, visceral experience. As such it makes few concessions to touring ability and is focused on providing an intense experience on the owner\u2019s favourite roads. Make no mistake, this is a hardcore and focused bit of kit. <\/span><\/p>\n

Inspired by Mulholland Highway \u2013 the scenic canyon located above the Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles \u2013 the car is a celebration of the unadulterated, analogue, driving experience. No electronic bells or whistles. Just man, machine and road. Bliss, in other words.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going to be at Goodwood, we strongly suggest you check out what Singer has to offer. The vision of the company is one thing, but the actual cars themselves are quite another. The fit, finish, the attention to detail, it\u2019s all exquisite.
