OK, we’d like a quick show of hands please. Notoriously capricious when they want to be those countless stubborn little clips that stop your car’s trim from becoming part of the floor need to be finessed. They have a range of trim removal tools and kits but the eight piece bundle we recently picked up seemed to cover most bases for our particular needs. What you get are seven double-ended tools of varying shapes and sizes specifically designed to remove trim, clips and fastenings without damaging them or the surrounding area. The eighth piece is a more heavy duty dedicated fastener removal tool for when you need a little extra leverage.<\/p>\n

\"interior,<\/a>Our kit is red. Yours might be blue. Exciting stuff.<\/em><\/p>\n

The tools are made of lightweight, ergonomic impact resistant nylon fibre with a matt surface which won’t scuff your panels. The fastener removal tool is made of high-quality, corrosion resistant alloy steel and features a rubber button allowing you to quickly and easily remove door panels and interior trim clips without damaging them. Instructions are included with the kit too, explaining the various different uses of each tool.<\/p>\n

The Test<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The additional, boot-mounted brake light on our Volvo 940 Turbo estate recently decided to stop working because old car. It’s not an MOT failure but we can be guilty of perfectionism here at Car & Classic and so the decision was made to take a look at the problem with the intention of fixing it. Yes, there is always some danger of damage, especially with older vehicles, but with these tools and a little mechanical sympathy those dangers can be all but circumvented entirely. Never again will we attempt to remove any trim without this kit to hand, hopefully preserving the life of our interiors in the process as we continue to replace, renew and improve.
