We know, because we have the data to prove it, that you wonderful lot search for the Porsche 911 more than the nation’s Friday night drinkers search for kebab houses. We know you love, dearly, what many would consider to be the greatest sports car of all time. And within those searches, we know you love a 993 version of the mighty Porsche 911. This one, then, must be a sure-fire hit. It’s a 993 model, built in 1994. And it has only had two owners who have only clocked a mere 26,065 miles from new. This 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 2<\/a><\/em> is not like the others. This is an unrepeatable find. One that you need to pounce on.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This 911 Carrera 2<\/a><\/em> is considered a halo car by many. Okay, it’s not a Turbo or a GT, but that’s not the point. The point is that it’s a glorious representation of the final ‘pure’ 911. By this, we mean air-cooled. We have nothing against the following 996 with its water-cooled engine (in fact, we would encourage you to buy one<\/a>) it’s just that the 993 carries a special place due to being a more direct descendent of the cars before it.<\/p>\n

You might also argue that this 911 Carrera 2 is the perfect specification. It’s still fast – it’s a Porsche – but the 3.6 flat-six doesn’t result in it being\u00a0too<\/em> fast. It’s a car you could use every single day without being afraid of it. It’s got that slick six-speed manual transmission, meaning driver engagement is up there, and because it’s a 911 Carrera 2, it’s rear-wheel drive, so it can still generate the thrills if you push it hard enough. It’s everything a good Porsche should be. A performer for the engaged, involved driver, but also a car that can be chilled and sedate when required. If it had actual, human-sized rear seats, it would be the last car you’d ever need.<\/p>\n

\"911<\/a><\/p>\n

The current owner has been in possession of this silver bullet since 1998, and has used it sparingly. However, while the car is currently on SORN due to lack of use, it will be sold with a full, fresh MOT. It was last in use in 2019, it’s on the button and ready to go. The paperwork reveals, pleasingly, that this 911 Carrera 2 has wanted for nothing over the course of its life. It’s been serviced and maintained accordingly. The only observation we have made is that the tyres are perhaps on the older side being from 2012, but the car has been stored inside so the weather hasn’t destroyed them. We’d swap them out though.<\/p>\n

\"911<\/a><\/p>\n

The exterior and interior are original and in excellent order throughout. This car would, make no mistake, be a full-on show winner should you want it to be. The only modification, if you can call it that, is the addition of a Sony Bluetooth head unit, which makes sense given modern phones and music streaming. Other than that though, it’s how Porsche intended. Perfect grey leather, unmarked carpets, the dash isn’t cracked or sun-damaged. It’s simply remarkable.<\/p>\n

\"911<\/a><\/p>\n

This 1994 Porsche 911 Carrera 2<\/a><\/em> is, make no bones about it, an unrepeatable opportunity. You will not find another with such low mileage, nor in such original condition. Okay, so there are a couple of things if you want utter perfection, like changing the stereo head unit, but that’s about it. You’d have a car damn near concourse on your hands then. Or, you could treat this as your closest opportunity to own a brand new car from 1994. Whatever your reasoning, you won’t regret it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
