To celebrate the iconic Porsche 911 turning 60 we thought we’d highlight not one, but two remarkable models currently available from our great mates at Autofarm. If you haven’t already been down to Oxfordshire to see Mikey and the team then we strongly recommend you pay them a visit because the setup there, not to mention the cars (oh the cars!) is pretty spectacular. And no, they’re not paying us to say that, it genuinely is a Porsche partisan’s paradise.<\/p>\n

\"classic<\/a><\/p>\n

If you’ve read our recent piece<\/a> on Porsche’s most esteemed and beloved model in which we wish the old chap many happy returns then you’ll no doubt remember that we highlighted the 2.7 Carrera RS and the 964 as particular Stuttgart standouts and it just so happens that Autofarm have one of each, sold as a matching pair, available right now. Come on, just look at them!<\/p>\n

\"classic<\/a><\/p>\n

This is undoubtedly an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire two of the greatest 911s ever made, in matching colourway, that you know are in pristine condition, seeing as how they’re being sold via Porsche specialists Autofarm, who have been in the game for over fifty years and know a thing or two when it comes to Germany’s most beloved premium automotive export. But these aren’t your ordinary, run of the mill 911s. This dynamic duo aren’t tired old, high mileage smokers in need of restoration. Quite the opposite, so let’s take a look at each one individually, shall we?<\/p>\n

1973 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The first Porsche to wear the now famous RS badge, the 2.7 Carrera was a true homologation special, designed to be at home on track in the hands of both professional race teams and privateers alike. It proved to be a huge success in competition but it carried its inherent performance capabilities across to the road, too, making it a wildly popular car amongst Porsche enthusiasts, or any enthusiast come to think of it.<\/p>\n

\"classic<\/a><\/p>\n

The example we have here is a 1973 car, resplendent in bright yellow with contrasting black adornments that mirrors its sister car perfectly. Complete with all of the uprated parts the RS was renowned for – including that iconic ‘duck tail’ rear spoiler – it certainly looks the part, but it’s also mechanically on point to boot.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This is number 410 of that initial run of 500 ‘Touring’ road-going homologation models and one of only 110 UK supplied, right-hand drive examples ever produced. Recently restored by Porsche Stuttgart to an eye-watering tune of over \u20ac400,000, this is a proper collector’s piece<\/a> and arguably one of the best and indeed most desirable 911s ever made.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

1993 (2023) Singer 964 C2<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

For those not familiar with the American tuning company to which this particular 964<\/a> owes its upgrades, Singer<\/a> is to Porsche what Grammarly is to the illiterate. Restoring, improving and modifying 911s since 2009, the company started out with just a sole product: the “Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer”. The clue really is in the name here and Singer would take a standard 964 coup\u00e9 or Targa and heavily tweak it, bringing it bang up to date with modern sports cars whilst still retaining the iconic 911’s DNA. <\/p>\n

\"classic<\/a><\/p>\n

The company has since branched out to modifying other models, including the 930 Turbo, but the 964 will always be its bread and butter – the car that put Singer on the map. Now known as the \u201cClassic Study” it remains a beacon to what Singer can do when it comes to making Porsche’s better and Singer 964s are highly sought after in Porsche circles.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Commissioned to match the very 2.7 Carrera RS it’s being offered with, this UK supplied ’93 964 C2 coup\u00e9<\/a> features a 4.0-litre, 400bhp Ed Pink<\/a> racing engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and Ohlins suspension all round, amongst other modifications. Having covered under 50 miles since returning from Singer last November it’s ready to rock and roll.<\/p>\n

Just one of these beauties would be dream garage material for most but both of them? Well that’s petrolhead paradise right there.<\/p>\n
